Partnership & Stewardship

UTAR's Aim Aligned with SDG Goal 17:

SDG Goal 17, "Partnerships for the Goals," emphasizes the importance of strengthening global partnerships to support and achieve the ambitious objectives of sustainable development. It aims to foster collaborative efforts between governments, private sectors, and educational institutions to pool resources, knowledge, and technology for common goals.

At Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR), we align our mission with this vision by championing collaboration and innovation. With over 770 established collaborations with universities and industries worldwide, UTAR serves as a hub for academic excellence, transformative research, and meaningful community engagement. Our aim is to serve as a conduit for meaningful partnerships that not only drive academic and research excellence but also address pressing global challenges such as climate change, sustainable development, and social equity.

Online Tree Adoption

The online tree adoption campaign is a UTAR fundraising project in collaboration with the UTAR Alumni Association of Malaysia.

Adopting a tree is an effective way to acknowledge a tree that has somehow enhanced our quality of life. The tree is an invaluable asset to our environment and community. Trees soften the landscape, cool our streets and buildings and promote a green environment.

You can help by adopting a tree for UTAR Hospital. This meaningful tree-adoption project donates to UTAR Hospital and fulfills the universal objectives of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for a greener community and improved air quality.
